Derrick L. Roberson, Partner

Born in Belleville, Kansas, 1964, Derrick is from Beloit, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.A. in 1987, and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991 from the University of Kansas School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1991.

Derrick joined Arthur-Green in 1991. He has more than twenty-five years of experience advising business clients on employment law compliance, risk management, and negotiating and structuring transactions. Derrick is experienced as a civil litigator in property law and construction cases, and has represented financial institutions with loan structuring, collections and foreclosure. He has been managing partner of the firm since 1997. Derrick has been actively involved in numerous professional, community and civic organizations and is currently serving on the 21st District Judicial Nominating Commission, Review Committee of the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys, the Kansas State Rifle Association Foundation, the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Trustee, and the Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation.

Shon C. Robben, Partner

Born in Hays, Kansas, 1969, Shon is a native of Victoria, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.S. in 1991, and was awarded a J.D. in 1994 from the University of Kansas School of Law. Shon was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1994.

Shon joined Arthur-Green in 1994. He is experienced in estate planning, tax, real estate, and corporate law, and is a frequent speaker on those topics. He counsels clients on all aspects of personal estate and tax planning. His business practice includes tax planning, corporate governance, succession planning, real estate matters and transactions. Shon is a frequent speaker on estate planning, real estate and taxation issues. He is actively involved in many community charitable and civic organizations, and currently serves as a director of Big Lakes Foundation, Inc., the Memorial Hospital Association, and Mercy Community Health Foundation.

William J. (Bill) Bahr, Partner

Born in Wichita, Kansas, 1972, Bill is from Great Bend, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned a B.A. in 1994. He attended law school at the University of Kansas, was managing editor of the Kansas Law Review, and was awarded his J.D. in 1997. Bill was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1997.

Bill joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1997. He is experienced in general civil litigation, business litigation and construction disputes. Bill also represents several financial institutions with transactions, collections and foreclosures. He advises business clients in a variety of areas including transactions, real estate matters, and employment. Bill is active in the Manhattan community, and currently serves on the board of Homecare and Hospice Foundation, the Kansas State Newman Foundation, and the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation Executive Committee. He is a member of the Riley County Legal Ethics Committee and the 21st District Judicial Nominating Commission.

Born in Hays, Kansas, 1980, Tyler is a native of Damar, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned a B.S. in 2003, and was awarded a J.D. in 2007 from Washburn University School of Law. Tyler was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 2008.

Tyler joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 2008. He is experienced in estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate and business transactions, tax deferred exchanges, business entity formation and governance. Tyler is also active in the Manhattan community and currently serves on the board of directors of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Pawnee Mental Health Services Endowment Foundation, Inc., Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and is a Trustee of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Riley County Law Library, and Manhattan Public Library.
